Corey Newman is a Practice Leader for the Contract Staffing & Consulting division with Platinum Recruiting Group and joined the firm in 2018. Corey was a graduate of Indiana University and started his career in public accounting with one of the 5th largest CPA firms in the U.S., then joined a name-brand multi-billion dollar public company where he gained additional experience with an IPO and SEC reporting.
Corey made a successful transition from corporate accounting to the recruiting industry where joined one of the world’s largest staffing firms specialized in Accounting & Finance staffing where gained experience as a Division Director and focused on contract accounting & consulting projects for clients ranging in size from mid-market privately-held organizations to FORTUNE 500 companies. Corey then brought his talents to a growing boutique search firm where he helped successfully build the contract accounting and consulting division. Having roots in Indiana, Corey and his family relocated to Zionsville and joined the Platinum team to continue to build and fuel the growth of their contract accounting and consulting practice.
Corey brings a tremendous amount of value and a unique approach to the firm, offering real-world accounting knowledge and years of experience solving problems companies are faced with in tackling major projects and interim staffing needs by outsourcing talent from a Staff Accountant to Executive level. Corey is a trusted advisor and recruiting industry expert where he’s had an opportunity to positively impact hundreds of careers and successfully managed numerous projects for his clients on mission-critical initiatives. Having been in the hiring managers shoes previously in corporate accounting, Corey is highly effective at understanding how to put the right people in the right place, and the consultants he represents have the ability to provide solutions by partnering with client teams to implement meaningful change and ensure their daily operations are effectively managed.
